I shot “Nosferatu” not long after I moved to Texas many years ago. The image shows the world’s largest bat colony of over 15 million Mexican free-tailed bats at Bracken Cave Preserve taking flight from their cave for their evening hunt. I was lucky enough to be there with a very small group of people hosted by a friend who worked at Bat Conservation International. You can learn more about the preserve here:
